Artificial Grass Products

Express Turf Direct carries a wide variety of artificial / synthetic turf grass products. Our products have face weights that range between 33 to 90 ounces and come with either a Traditional Urethane backing or an EnviroCel backing. The Traditional Urethane backing has small perforated holes about every 4” to allow for drainage. Choosing an EnviroCel backing will make your artificial / synthetic turf product 100% recyclable. The EnviroCel backing allows for drainage throughout.

What is Face Weight?

To calculate Face Weight, take a square yard of product and remove all of the fibers from the backing. Weighing these fibers will give you the Face Weight of the product. This number is usually calculated in ounces. Any time you see a number behind one of our EXT products this indicates the face weight of the product (i.e. EXT 90). Again this is the Face Weight and not the total weight of the product. The total weight of the product will include the weight of the backing.

What is the best product for my yard?

EXT 60, EXT 69, EXT 80, and EXT 90 are some of the most popular artificial / synthetic grass products that Express Turf Direct sells and installs. These products do not require an infill material for weighting, but it is highly recommended. All three of these products come in a single grass green fiber color or in a blend (three color) fiber color. These products come in either a combination polyethylene/nylon fiber (EXT 69 or EXT 90) or 100% polyethylene fiber (EXT 60,EXT 69, and EXT 90). An infill product is used for weighting the artificial / synthetic grass to the ground and supporting the fibers.

How do I calculate how much artificial / synthetic turf I will need?

There are two ways to go about this. The first way is to remember that all of our products come in 15’ widths (i.e. 30’x30’ area = 15’x60’ roll of product). The second way to calculate your design or square footage needed is to have a representative come to your home or job site for a free estimate or to send in a drawing to pal@expressturf.com.
